During the mid-'90s, Curor played a small part in the last flowerings of the UK tape label underground, along with better known labels such as Betley Welcomes Careful Drivers, Chocolate Monk, Face Like A Smacked Arse, etc.. Since the later '90s, Curor has been inoperative.
Over the last few years, though, there seems to have been a resurgence of cottage-industry musical activity. Never ones to miss the opportunity to leap aboard an already speeding bandwagon, we've decided to re-launch the label over the winter as a mainly CD-R venture with occasional vinyls, lathe-cuts, cassettes or, who knows, even factory-made CDs.
Despite a detour into the cul-de-sac of "post-rock," :( our tastes/interests have remained fairly consistent over all this time. Or, maybe, they've come full-circle. In any case, we'd love to receive any recordings of noise/free-folk/drone/psych/improv/exper
If this sounds like an exciting opportunity to you, then you probably need to get out more, but you can email me at dan.palmer@ntlworld.com, and I'll give the address to send your CDs, tapes, whatever...
I'll be x-posting in a few places, so apologies if you see this more than once.
